Auckland Concrete Grinding has developed a reputation as the leading company for the removal of surface toppings and coatings, including old glue, plaster, ceramic, adhesive, paint and floor levelling materials. Our largest market is in construction refurbishment.

Many buildings in Auckland and all over New Zealand are in the overhaul stage, and in many cases flooring is being replaced or renewed. This requires returning the existing surface back to clean concrete before new products are installed.

Process
Auckland Concrete Grinding has developed a different diamond disc for nearly every coating and adhesive found on New Zealand floors. Our customised removal solutions are reflected in the affordability and speed we can offer the client.

Rain-damaged concrete is an unstable substrate surface which can cause many problems if left untreated. This type of surface can cause delimitation on tilt-wall construction and create continuous dust problems and adhesive failures to carpet and vinyl installation.

Treatment
Grinding the damaged sectors with the correct grade diamond disc will remove the puffy surface sealants, revealing a firm smooth surface. This process provides security for tilt-wall construction, a sound surface for carpet and vinyl installation, and an overall better floor appearance.

Concrete installation can be a ‘sudden death Russian roulette’ game for the unprepared business owner or homeowner. There isn’t often a second chance to correct those little errors such as one slab being just a little bit higher, or lower, than the previous one. Humps and bumps can also be found on the concrete surface when it comes to installing your carpet, tiles or wooden flooring.

Treatment
Diamond grinding can, in most instances, blend away these little level imperfections, making it easier for future construction and flooring installation. Our process is predominantly dry-vacuumed with minimal dust and no messy sludge to contend with.

Please note: the greater the depth required, the greater the time and cost. Also, there is a limit to what can be blended away.

Many factory and warehousing goods and service doorways are produced with a weather rebate to stop rain or floodwater entering the working areas. These rebates normally measure 25-50mm in height, and the doorway links into the front side of the section for added security.

The rebate system works well for weather security but can cause problems for forklifts, trucks and wheeled trolley traffic when crossing the sudden lip.

Treatment
We can diamond-grind away the lip of the rebate to produce a wedged or sloped ramp, which allows smooth untroubled passage through the doorway.

Please note: the sloped rebate will still provide secure weather proofing.
