A complete process that revitalises and strengthens concrete floors.
Since 1996 the process has been transforming new and old concrete into strong, durable and beautiful surfaces throughout USA and Australia. It has been in New Zealand for several years with great success.
Retroplate will enhance industrial, retail or commercial concrete floors, while eliminating the ongoing costs of coatings and floor cover failures.
Retroplate makes weak concrete strong and turns stained or difficult-to-clean concrete into a beautiful surface that is easy to clean and maintain.
HOW IT WORKS
The Retroplate system chemically and mechanially locks up the pores on the surface.
This will dramatically harden the floor leaving a dust free surface.
The Process
Existing Floors
Diamond grinding is the most common preparation on existing floors. Grinding the surface will remove any existing coatings or contaminants. In some cases, you may have to carry out some floor repairs prior to starting the Retroplate process.
New Floors
New floors that have been power floated with a good finish means half the work has already been done. The next step would be preparing the surface by polishing the floor with 100 grit diamond followed by applying Retroplate sealer. The floor is then ready to be polished to create the desired gloss level.
You create different gloss levels by polishing the surface higher or lower. For example, a 200 grit would leave a low sheen and 800 grit would leave a high sheen.
